Personal History | Spencer was born in Ithaca, New York, April 2, 2390. His father, Gerald Reese Malone, was a well-known, college professor of Entomology at Cornell University and his mother, Catilyn Marie Malone, was a nurse at the Cayuga Medical Center. He had a relatively normal upbringing. His parents were always strong proponents for educating both of their boys. They encouraged both of their sons to pursue long term careers. Spencer's older brother, Anthony, also took up a career in law, but instead focused on the courtroom side, becoming a lawyer. From a young age, Spencer was attracted to police work. When it was time for Spencer to go to college he attended Cornell University and studied Criminology and Entomology. He enjoyed his time at Cornell and even though his father was a professor there as well, they managed to stay out of each other's way. Spencer was always laid back and easy to get along with. He made friends easily and also played sports. Spence was a good student. Not valedictorian, but he did graduate in the top ten percent of his class. |
